Moshidora 07: As Subtle as Death

Obviously, they're going to win.

I mean, just imagine the audience reaction if The Mighty Ducks lost at the end of their movie, or if the Springboks lost at the end of Invictus.

It’s the classic underdog, feel-good story. A piece-of-crap team gets whipped into shape and eventually wins the championship. The only differences among these tales are the trials and trauma the team has to go through.

-scare chord-

Oh shit.

OMG DON'T SAY IT

THE ONLY THING KEEPING YOU ALIVE IS THE THING YOU’RE ABOUT TO SAY

OH GOD SHUT UP YUKI

YOU CAN STILL STOP NOW

MINAMI GET OUT IF YOU WANT YOUR FRIEND TO LIVE

...she said it.

Now she’s giving the “stoically watching her last sunset” look. Oh the humanity. You don’t need to have a firm grasp of statistics and probability to tell me that Yuki now has a 0.00% chance of living to see the final episode.

And I thought we’d already gotten past this nonsense in episode 5.

This is all the fanservice there is in this episode.

Of course, it’s not like I can think of a witty thing to write about it now that YUKI IS GOING TO DIE.

Minami even dreams of watching the finals with Yuki.

CURSE YOU AND YOUR EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION PRODUCTION I.G.
