I am a collector of Anime Figurines.
Anime is my body,
and Moe is my blood.
I have watched over a thousand episodes.
Unknown to my family.
Nor known to friends.
Have withstood pain to blog many reviews.
Yet, these hands will never stop shooting.
So as I pray, ‘Unlimited Otaku Works’.”

Well I was first introduced to manga and anime at as soon as i could read having older brothers and a jap cousin so the first few series that i read/watched were Crayon Shin-chan and Dragon Ball. When i was older I fell in love with Mecha/Sci-fi Anime at first then as time flew by, embraced Anime as a whole. But in the most recent years I have given up liking a particular genre of Anime and now am just watching it for the seiyuus. Over time I grew to fond of the language and culture so my dream is to find a job there and live there.

Well, defrayal actually introduced me to Code Geass back in 2005, and I remembered marathoning through them, excited by the mecha fights and super powers and the scheming involved, though for some reason my interest tailed off soon after. Few years later in the army, I came across the light novel translation of Baka to Test to Shōkanjū on the web and thought I would read it to pass the time. I giggled uncontrollably at parts, attracting some weird stares from the patients in the waiting area. Interested to find out more, I realised that there was actually an anime adaptation. The rest is history.

fav genre: I’m a sucker for romantic comedy, and slapstick. I wouldn’t go near yaoi even in a hazmat suit.
fav anime: NGE, Kara No Kyoukai, FMP, Air, Kanon, Clannad, Lucky Star, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Bakemonogatari, Haruhi. Zomg so many KyoAni works.
My first anime experience was NGE (what a series to start with), and from then on, I never looked back. It has come to the point that I’ve given up on terrestrial TV save the news, such is the lure of anime. This hobby of mine has been shaped by considerable Japanese influences in my life, and even though I’ll be at the other side of the globe come the third quarter of this year, I’ll still be hungry for my weekly fix of anime.

My first experience with Japanese animation started out when, as a kid, i chanced upon Digimon, Slayers, and Evangelion on our local national TV channels. I had no Internet that time so this was pretty much my only form of entertainment, and I found it much more interesting than Western cartoons. Imagine trying to understand Evangelion when you’re barely 10 years old! 3 years later I finally got my first computer, and with it, the Internet. It opened up a whole new vista for me, with anime being readily accessible at the touch of my finger tips. Over the years I’ve slowly accumulated products (posters and figurines mostly) of my favourite shows and characters, I’m pretty proud of them even though the amount is pittance compared to what the other writers have. I do have my on-ff love-hate relationship with anime some times, where I stop watching for a while and instead concentrate more on gaming or watching serial dramas (English/Japanese). I game alot, almost as much as, if not more than, the time spent watching anime ( I have a ps1/2/3, xbox360 and a buttload of games to finish). Anime, as well as my love for drawing, has influenced me into heading off the beaten path is my country’s form of education and pursue a degree in animation. After years of watching, I’ve managed to pick up on a simplistic form of Japanese, but I would love to actually learn the language so I can watch raws and play games that are only available in Japanese. I guess I’m starting to ramble now so I’ll stop >:3
